"To publish,"

as defined by Samuel Johnson in his 1755 dictionary, means:

"To discover to mankind;
to make generally and openly known."

In other words: putting your writing out into the world for others, your public, to read, judge and discuss as they please.

It takes courage when it's something you really care about,
whether it's a book, report, article or a pithy precis.

And you want them to care enough to read until the end.

So before you do that, you'll want to make sure that your text effectively
communicates what it is you mean to say – today.

You know things could be better: more engaging, tidier, more accessible perhaps.

Or maybe you just want to make sure autocorrect hasn't deceived you.

Your words deserve some literary justice.

Hiring someone you can trust is the best way to achieve that.
